Glasgow City Council, in partnership with Nextbike, has recently introduced a cycle hire scheme to the streets of Glasgow. In 36 locations across the city, this new service will make 400 bikes available to both visitors and locals for the duration of the Games. The bikes are bookable online or by telephone (020   8166 9851).

Up to four bikes can be hired by any one registered user at a time, and they can be picked up from and dropped off at any of the 36 hire points. For further information, including a map, visit the official site.
